A red toolbar icon with an exclamation can mean LinkedIn is not signed in.
The Companion needs an authenticated LinkedIn session on the exact post to capture evidence, but it never sees your password or session.
The Companion checks your LinkedIn sign-in state when you start a Mission. Until you sign in, the session waits in a waiting-for-LinkedIn-auth state and the toolbar stays red with the tooltip Blocked — sign in to LinkedIn.
To fix it, sign in to linkedin.com in the same browser where the Companion is installed, then restart the Mission from the Mission details page. The popup notice reads Sign in to LinkedIn first. Calder never receives your LinkedIn password or session.
If you are already signed in but still see red, reload the LinkedIn post, reopen the Mission page, or start the Mission again from its details page.
Only the exact Mission target post counts. Evidence is tied to interactions on that publication, so make sure you open the post from the Mission details page rather than searching for it separately.
